A lock is a purchase most people make once in a decade, at a moment they did not plan: a key lost, a tenant moved out, a break-in on the street. Paying for it across a few weeks rather than in one go is often the difference between fixing the door now and fixing it next month.
Both options are on our checkout page. Here is what each costs and what it involves.
Four payments, no interest
The simplest option splits the price into four equal payments: one today, then one every two weeks. No interest, provided you pay on schedule. This is Affirm’s Pay in 4 and Klarna’s equivalent, and it is the option most people use for a purchase this size.
| Lock | Price | Four payments of |
|---|---|---|
| Simplicity | $105.99 | $26.50 |
| Alpha-B | $230.99 | $57.75 |
| SmartBell SP-501 | $329.98 | $82.50 |
| SP-US23 | $364.98 | $91.25 |
| Zebulun | $394.99 | $98.75 |
| SP-US23 Ultra | $398.87 | $99.72 |
| SEER Lock | $529.89 | $132.47 |
Figures are the list price divided by four and exclude tax and shipping, which are added at checkout and split the same way.
Monthly instalments over a longer term
For larger orders, several locks for a building or a lock with a camera system, both lenders offer terms of three to twelve months or longer. The rate depends on the lender’s assessment, the term you choose and the amount, and it is shown to you before you agree to anything.
We do not set that rate and we cannot quote it here. What we can tell you is where to see it: choose Affirm or Klarna at checkout and the exact monthly payment, the total you will pay, and the rate appear on the lender’s own screen before you confirm. If the number does not suit you, back out at that point and pay by card instead.
What the credit check does
For Pay in 4, both lenders run a soft check. A soft check does not affect your credit score and is not visible to other lenders.
For longer monthly terms, a hard check may apply, and a hard check can appear on your report. The lender tells you which kind it is running before you agree.
Missing a payment can be reported to credit bureaus and can attract a fee, depending on the lender and your state. Read their terms on the screen where they are shown, not our summary of them.
Financing on a rental or a business purchase
If you are buying for a rental property or a business, the lock is usually a deductible expense and your accountant will want the invoice rather than the payment plan. We email a full invoice on every order. For orders of five locks or more, call 888-400-0607 and ask about terms directly, which is often simpler than instalments.
Questions
Which lenders do you use? Affirm and Klarna, both selectable at checkout. PayPal and card payments are also available.
Is there a fee for paying this way? Not from us. The price is the same whether you pay in full or in instalments. Late fees, where they apply, come from the lender.
Can I pay it off early? Yes, with both lenders, and on an interest-bearing plan that reduces what you pay.
Do I need to apply before I shop? No. Choose the lender at checkout and the decision takes under a minute.
What if I am declined? The order does not go through on that method and you can pay by card or PayPal instead. Nothing is charged.
Does financing change the warranty or returns? No. One-year warranty and the standard return window apply the same way.
All prices and instalment figures on this page are current as of September 2026 and exclude tax and shipping. Terms, rates and eligibility are set by Affirm and Klarna, and are subject to their approval. See the lock range for the current prices.
